I had a technical education at Ca' Foscari University in Venice (Italy, not California...), and my college Degree in Economics in 1995. After a few years spent in travelling and doing the most different jobs, I finally landed in textiles... Love at first sight!
Since I was young I have been having a natural passion for clothing, mainly for trousers and sneakers, a way to express myself... and anticipating moments and trends in fashion has always been a second nature to me.
Getting in touch with new cultures and languages, and getting to know them in depth represents my way to feel comfortable while I am abroad, travelling, it helps me better understand what happens around me.
Even the path in the fashion industry is the result of a precise choice aimed at the full understanding of how a "piece of clothing" is conceived and created, I mean, the full process.
My personal approach to creativity is a mix of rationality, instinct, fantasy and passion. Fabrics, shapes, finishings, they all become "planets" I explore every day in order to create new and surprising possible combinations and to obtain the most of this richness of contents. Denim for sure represents my favourite universe, but it is not the only one I have experienced so far in my career, these steps led me to Meidea. Seeking for new horizons, re-inventing myself through the expression of my creativity: this is the nourishment of my life, the spirit of my work path.
